GraphStats

How GraphStats works

GraphStats puts a YouTube channel's long videos on one graph, so you can see a channel's whole history at a glance.

What the graph shows

Each dot is one long video. Its position across the graph is the date it was published. Its height is its lifetime views, on a logarithmic scale by default so that one huge hit does not flatten everything else. Shorts are not included.

How to read it

Lifetime views keep growing, so older videos have had longer to collect them. A high dot means a video has many views, not that it is a better video.

Where the data comes from

Video and channel data comes from YouTube through the YouTube API Services. Recent videos usually update about once an hour when a channel is visited, and older videos about once a week. For large channels we show the latest 1,000 long videos, so summaries refer to the videos shown and not to the whole channel.

What GraphStats calculates

Medians, trendlines and the facts on each channel page are calculated by GraphStats. They do not come from YouTube. Fan comments come from visitors.

GraphStats is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube, Google or the creators shown.
